Hey! So... This week has been pretty good. Transfers were this week. But it seems like me and my comp are staying one more together. And everyone in my district. and everyone in the zone! How crazy is that? Its only the 2nd time this has happened to me, me staying with my comp for more than one transfer. But I'm pretty excited. Even though the area is only about a 5 min walk from one end to the other. This week were preparing another family to get baptized this Sunday. It's a lady and her granddaughters. But... she lives about 7 hours away in another city. But she was like begging us to be baptized so the elders up there will baptize her and her g-daughter and we'll baptize the other one who stayed her with her member aunt. Cool story cause the 2 girls are twins. And my comp is a twin to. How nuts is that? But I'm pretty happy.
Lately its been a little windy. and Yesterday, it finally started raining. Well sprinkling ish. So the cold has started coming in. Yeesh...
Easter went pretty well. One of my RC gave us Easter eggs. Chocolate eggs :) It was way cool. She made them too with the little money she had. I love seeing how RC´s go through little changes as they accept the gospel. Little stuff like from hating to pray and finally praying at church. ha Its great to see them get over their fears. It just gives me more hope and strength to get over mine too. I think this next transfer is going to be trying. But I'm positive I'm going to learn a few priceless things. I hope everything's going well with you guys back home! I'm excited for the new babes. When are the due dates for the 2?

Love,
Elder Grant

p.s. Those are oranges...
Patriotism?
Yes... Package!
This week has been pretty good. Of course flew by. But lots of good stuff happened. We had a family baptize this week. Mom and 2 girls. And a miracle happened and we found a married couple with 3 kids. Which is like once in a blue moon. Its really weird to me, because when we teach them its like teaching an American family. They do like everything together, and they're so united. It's almost impossible to find that here in Brazil. We're working hard to get them baptized this Sunday but things look like it will take place on the 1st of May.
This week has been full of ups and downs though. We had the baptism in a pool of a member here. It was pretty cool but a little out of control. Then we saw our baptism after, the mom, on a soccer field reading the BoM at twilight. It was so cool. Here younger girls were playing on the field and she was off studying. Its soo awesome to see stuff like that. The family we found, we taught on Saturday. And on Sunday we were late getting people to church, and so we passed by a little after 9. Of course they weren't there. so that was our 2nd family that fell in 5 min to go to church and be baptized. But miraculously, we show up to church, and lo and behold, they're there! They went to church by themselves! Its been too long since I've seen this. So of course it was great. The teenage boys are pretty legit, an elect family for sure.
Its kinda a bummer because this week were finishing knocking the doors in our area. We've ran out of road. So back to the beginning. But the Lord is preparing people that we have yet to talk to. Or maybe someone who already said no to us.. ha
These past few weeks have been really rewarding on my mish. I've learned so many different things. I'm so grateful to the Lord for all the things that I've learned. It is true what Cedar said, you really just learn the 1st year. Then the 2nd you realize how to put it into practice. That's why I think the mish just keeps getting better and better for me. Seeing so many changes happen. I'm starting to learn different things and do more and more things during the day that I didn't used to do. Luckily it isn't to late for me to start. Transfers are next week. This one went by pretty quick. I have a feeling I might be bouncing... I kinda want to because this area is so small! But Its up to the Lord and Pres. so we'll see.
I finally bought an adapter so I can start sending pix again. So have fun with those. I'm glad things are starting to calm down again. It seemed like it was just a roller coaster back home for a while. Good to hear again that more souls are being added to the Grant family. They both will be girls, I think.
Love you all, and keep up the good cheer!
Its Easter Week! Resurrection! Yay!

Tif is sealed! How nuts is that? That's good to hear everything went fine. I was kinda wondering how it went..Any dress fires or fainters? Seeing that I'm here and all. I hope for pix.
Today started off early. Our member neighbor comes over to clean our front yard; But yeh lawnmowers nor weed wackers have been invented yet here so we take it on with a hoe. Only bout 2-3 hours beating it down with the hoes! Of course I break one, we find tons of bugs and 2 huge spiders. Then light it up with the fire. Its Brazil of course so we can burn anything we want and not get in trouble with it. Plastic, styrofoam, pumpkin plants...etc. I love Brazil.
Sunday was pretty well. Death in the branch. Elders Quorum Pres. passed away in an accident. It was pretty sad. Testimony meeting was teary for many. We took 3 families to church too. ha But it was still good. Out of nowhere I think I picked up allergies. Or maybe its just Brazil and the dust. But its super annoying. I'm sneezing like crazy.
The mission is going pretty well. I keep forgetting about time, and just as I do my comps start talking about how he's registering for classes and marriage. 2 comps ago he was super trunky. He also received a Dear John a while back. That joke never ended :) Mine right now isn't too bad. ha This week we have 3 firm baptisms and maybe one more. Dunno yet. Things are in the Lord's hands.
Pretty soon here I'm going to have to start thinking about what I'm going to do when I get back... Ah I don't wanna think about that. It makes me confused. I got transferred because new Americans keep coming in. And in 2 weeks 18 more Brazilians come. So Pres is always moving things around. Training new leadership, opening new areas, etc. My area now is pretty small. 60 ish ruas. Smallest in the mish. 5 min to everywhere ha I'm not going to redo my shoes. I'm just using my Eccos til the end. If they last. It is starting to cool down. Chilly wind, in spite of a burning sun. Its a good combination.
Pray for you guys all the time. I hope everyone's doing well. Has anyone sent a package lately?? :) Ive been wondering if I'm going to get some Reeses choco, or a bunny/ eggs for Easter!

Love ya!

p.s. Happy Birthday mom! :) last sunday...

It's been a wild week. Starting from today and working backward, We went to a house to buy some milk today. The man told us that he milked the cow so we got it straight from the utter. So we were hoping to go and milk it this morning. Of course they already pulled the milk out so we couldn't get to milk it. But it's some pretty good milk! ha... I was pretty sick yesterday running around with a runny nose and something like allergies.. I`m not sure. I never thought I had allergies but I think its because I`m out on the outskirts of town. Dirt, dust, trash, and the good smells of life! I got to go to both Sunday sessions this conference. I loved it. I`m so grateful for it! I loved the talks that were given and it was a great to receive answers to prayers. I also had a baptism this week even though I had 4 days in the area.
In my last area I`m pretty sure the 3 people I left were baptized to so I`m excited. I`m starting to see my talents with talking to people and teaching and applying doctrine expound. Especially the 2 last weeks in my last area. Me and my comp were marking baptism dates daily. It was pretty nuts. But here is pretty sweet. Its a pretty small area. And it takes 5 min to get anywhere you want. Expect there's nothing here.. Just dirt. and poor people. everything closes at 6. so a late night snack is out of the question.. ha I love it though. The 17th we have a family were teaching to baptize. A mom and 2 girls. The mom stopped smoking and the girls are so funny. I`m super positive they're going to baptize. We just have to find some more news this week. We don't have anyone firm so far.
Its been raining a bit here and there. Pretty annoying for holy shoes. and my umbrella is pretty dead. I feel like its a newspaper between my dry head and a shower.
I`m super excited for the wedding! It's nuts. I wish I was there! I know it would be so cool to be in a sealing session when someone is actually getting sealed that you know.. and alive. But oh well. It's true we're both in the place where the Lord wants us to be.
I hope everything's going great back home and everyone's healthy! I`m positive that you guys are being blessed!
I love you Mom, I love you Dad.
..and everyone else!
