YES. Terri was baptized. Finally. Maybe it was the letter I last sent pushed her over. I hope. Who knows. That is awesome. I wish I could have been there. Man. I'm so happy.
I loved conference. Man they talked about the Book of Mormon SO much. They seemed to say, if anythings wrong in life open it up. Its true too. I've seen countless problems resolved through the Book of Mormon. Not only mine but others I've taught. I'm super excited about all the temples announced. I didn't get to hear about any of them because I only watched the Sunday sesh's. Interesting, none in Brazil were announced. My state is 2nd or 3rd on the list to get a temple next in Brazil. Rio is 1st. Heard Jason's old mish is baptizing the most in the world now too. Looks like the seeds he left are growing.
Last week was the week I most found new investigators and marked dates during my mission. Between Sunday and Saturday I had found around 20 people with baptism dates for the 2nd and 9th. 3 families and some more individuals. Only thing is that the baptisms for Sunday the 2nd fell, and also for the 9th all fell. So that was a little rough. I marked dates everyday last week, but no one progressed all the way to baptism. This week Ive marked dates too everyday, but I feel more sure about the people this week.
This morning a recent convert of mine took us to her sisters house to teach her and her family. The kids already had been to church a few times and went to conference this weekend, but I never had a chance to teach the parents. So today we went there and marked dates with them and they'll be baptized this weekend.
Next week is transfers. So quick. I feel I'm going to leave the area, but the city I'm not sure. I really want to get out of this city. But we'll see where I'm sent. I want to go where its hot!
Well I'm doing great. Terri's baptism made my week. I just feel so great now. Nothing better to see her get baptized. On conference weekend too!
Well, Love ya all

Hello everyone!
Last week was a little rough. 4 hours in a bus from the center back home. I was in the center renewing my visa. Had some mistakes on it. Suddenly I was born on the 7th and in Cochise City. But got that figured all out. Then we took a long ride back home. Construction on the highways. 2 lanes doesn't quite cut it here. This week has been pretty well. Me and my comp are working and searching people out. The Lord is providing. We found this girl Adriely about Thurs of last week. She accepted a date for the 29th and we took her and her cousin to church. It has been going pretty well until about last night. Her cousin, who has a "formed opinion" decided to come sit in on a lesson. And of course The restoration comes and things start getting out of hand. Luckily things didn't go too far but it kinda threw our baptism off track for this week. Tonight we have a branch activity we're taking both of them too and I might pass by there to teach her today, without her cousin. It's so frustrating how the enemy uses his ways to impede. But other than that things are going well.
The month is ending. It's hard to believe that I have so much time in the field. The transfer is the 2nd week of June. Not going to lie, I'm hoping to be transferred already. I'm starting my 2-3rd time around the neighborhood. I know the baker, the internet family, the people at both grocery stores. It's a great place! Seems like you have friends everywhere. But no investigators at times. But the Lord has provided before and I'm sure he'll provide again.
These past few days have been a little rough. I've been a little sick. Its starting to get really cold here. And being that were in the outskirts of city, the farms and such, its more easier to catch a cold. I had a runny nose and soar throatish. And it was pretty rough sleeping these past few days. But I'm starting to get better.
This next transfer I have 3 comps going home. Its so nuts. Time flies by pretty quick. I hope everything's going good back home! Everyone's healthy and such. I hope J and Jamie have a girl. That would be good. Talk to ya next week!
Love,
Elder Grant

Hey! So... This week has been pretty good. Transfers were this week. But it seems like me and my comp are staying one more together. And everyone in my district. and everyone in the zone! How crazy is that? Its only the 2nd time this has happened to me, me staying with my comp for more than one transfer. But I'm pretty excited. Even though the area is only about a 5 min walk from one end to the other. This week were preparing another family to get baptized this Sunday. It's a lady and her granddaughters. But... she lives about 7 hours away in another city. But she was like begging us to be baptized so the elders up there will baptize her and her g-daughter and we'll baptize the other one who stayed her with her member aunt. Cool story cause the 2 girls are twins. And my comp is a twin to. How nuts is that? But I'm pretty happy.
Lately its been a little windy. and Yesterday, it finally started raining. Well sprinkling ish. So the cold has started coming in. Yeesh...
Easter went pretty well. One of my RC gave us Easter eggs. Chocolate eggs :) It was way cool. She made them too with the little money she had. I love seeing how RC´s go through little changes as they accept the gospel. Little stuff like from hating to pray and finally praying at church. ha Its great to see them get over their fears. It just gives me more hope and strength to get over mine too. I think this next transfer is going to be trying. But I'm positive I'm going to learn a few priceless things. I hope everything's going well with you guys back home! I'm excited for the new babes. When are the due dates for the 2?

Yes... Package!
This week has been pretty good. Of course flew by. But lots of good stuff happened. We had a family baptize this week. Mom and 2 girls. And a miracle happened and we found a married couple with 3 kids. Which is like once in a blue moon. Its really weird to me, because when we teach them its like teaching an American family. They do like everything together, and they're so united. It's almost impossible to find that here in Brazil. We're working hard to get them baptized this Sunday but things look like it will take place on the 1st of May.
This week has been full of ups and downs though. We had the baptism in a pool of a member here. It was pretty cool but a little out of control. Then we saw our baptism after, the mom, on a soccer field reading the BoM at twilight. It was so cool. Here younger girls were playing on the field and she was off studying. Its soo awesome to see stuff like that. The family we found, we taught on Saturday. And on Sunday we were late getting people to church, and so we passed by a little after 9. Of course they weren't there. so that was our 2nd family that fell in 5 min to go to church and be baptized. But miraculously, we show up to church, and lo and behold, they're there! They went to church by themselves! Its been too long since I've seen this. So of course it was great. The teenage boys are pretty legit, an elect family for sure.
Its kinda a bummer because this week were finishing knocking the doors in our area. We've ran out of road. So back to the beginning. But the Lord is preparing people that we have yet to talk to. Or maybe someone who already said no to us.. ha
These past few weeks have been really rewarding on my mish. I've learned so many different things. I'm so grateful to the Lord for all the things that I've learned. It is true what Cedar said, you really just learn the 1st year. Then the 2nd you realize how to put it into practice. That's why I think the mish just keeps getting better and better for me. Seeing so many changes happen. I'm starting to learn different things and do more and more things during the day that I didn't used to do. Luckily it isn't to late for me to start. Transfers are next week. This one went by pretty quick. I have a feeling I might be bouncing... I kinda want to because this area is so small! But Its up to the Lord and Pres. so we'll see.
I finally bought an adapter so I can start sending pix again. So have fun with those. I'm glad things are starting to calm down again. It seemed like it was just a roller coaster back home for a while. Good to hear again that more souls are being added to the Grant family. They both will be girls, I think.
Love you all, and keep up the good cheer!
Its Easter Week! Resurrection! Yay!

Tif is sealed! How nuts is that? That's good to hear everything went fine. I was kinda wondering how it went..Any dress fires or fainters? Seeing that I'm here and all. I hope for pix.
Today started off early. Our member neighbor comes over to clean our front yard; But yeh lawnmowers nor weed wackers have been invented yet here so we take it on with a hoe. Only bout 2-3 hours beating it down with the hoes! Of course I break one, we find tons of bugs and 2 huge spiders. Then light it up with the fire. Its Brazil of course so we can burn anything we want and not get in trouble with it. Plastic, styrofoam, pumpkin plants...etc. I love Brazil.
Sunday was pretty well. Death in the branch. Elders Quorum Pres. passed away in an accident. It was pretty sad. Testimony meeting was teary for many. We took 3 families to church too. ha But it was still good. Out of nowhere I think I picked up allergies. Or maybe its just Brazil and the dust. But its super annoying. I'm sneezing like crazy.
The mission is going pretty well. I keep forgetting about time, and just as I do my comps start talking about how he's registering for classes and marriage. 2 comps ago he was super trunky. He also received a Dear John a while back. That joke never ended :) Mine right now isn't too bad. ha This week we have 3 firm baptisms and maybe one more. Dunno yet. Things are in the Lord's hands.
Pretty soon here I'm going to have to start thinking about what I'm going to do when I get back... Ah I don't wanna think about that. It makes me confused. I got transferred because new Americans keep coming in. And in 2 weeks 18 more Brazilians come. So Pres is always moving things around. Training new leadership, opening new areas, etc. My area now is pretty small. 60 ish ruas. Smallest in the mish. 5 min to everywhere ha I'm not going to redo my shoes. I'm just using my Eccos til the end. If they last. It is starting to cool down. Chilly wind, in spite of a burning sun. Its a good combination.
Pray for you guys all the time. I hope everyone's doing well. Has anyone sent a package lately?? :) Ive been wondering if I'm going to get some Reeses choco, or a bunny/ eggs for Easter!
Love ya!

It's been a wild week. Starting from today and working backward, We went to a house to buy some milk today. The man told us that he milked the cow so we got it straight from the utter. So we were hoping to go and milk it this morning. Of course they already pulled the milk out so we couldn't get to milk it. But it's some pretty good milk! ha... I was pretty sick yesterday running around with a runny nose and something like allergies.. I`m not sure. I never thought I had allergies but I think its because I`m out on the outskirts of town. Dirt, dust, trash, and the good smells of life! I got to go to both Sunday sessions this conference. I loved it. I`m so grateful for it! I loved the talks that were given and it was a great to receive answers to prayers. I also had a baptism this week even though I had 4 days in the area.
In my last area I`m pretty sure the 3 people I left were baptized to so I`m excited. I`m starting to see my talents with talking to people and teaching and applying doctrine expound. Especially the 2 last weeks in my last area. Me and my comp were marking baptism dates daily. It was pretty nuts. But here is pretty sweet. Its a pretty small area. And it takes 5 min to get anywhere you want. Expect there's nothing here.. Just dirt. and poor people. everything closes at 6. so a late night snack is out of the question.. ha I love it though. The 17th we have a family were teaching to baptize. A mom and 2 girls. The mom stopped smoking and the girls are so funny. I`m super positive they're going to baptize. We just have to find some more news this week. We don't have anyone firm so far.
Its been raining a bit here and there. Pretty annoying for holy shoes. and my umbrella is pretty dead. I feel like its a newspaper between my dry head and a shower.
I`m super excited for the wedding! It's nuts. I wish I was there! I know it would be so cool to be in a sealing session when someone is actually getting sealed that you know.. and alive. But oh well. It's true we're both in the place where the Lord wants us to be.
I hope everything's going great back home and everyone's healthy! I`m positive that you guys are being blessed!
I love you Mom, I love you Dad.
..and everyone else!

Well... lots of things are happening here in Brazil! I had a baptism last week. And this next week we have 3 more planned. The week after already 2! The Lord is truly blessing us. But last night at 10 I got a call from Pres. and now I'm in a new area! This transfer tons of American Elders are arriving with visa's and 18 more Brazilians are coming in the end of April. So the mission is going to start growing like crazy! I'm really excited.
On Monday we left with a member and went and taught 2 investigators. We finally marked a date with one that was having trouble deciding and we finally firmed his date; Leandro. He was a sweet story for when I get back home. After that last lesson he was dropping us off at our other appt. and we started going down this narrow road with cars on both sides. As we near the halfway point there's an opening of cars. And out of nowhere this kid on a bike pops out of nowhere! Of course he doesn't stop in time and we smash him! It was kinda a let down because he didn't even slide across the hood. Of course my comp starts freaking out. But we just popped him pretty good. Of course its Brazil and we just get out and look at his leg. Nothing broken and not much damage. So we just drive away. Ha. But it was great. I'm kinda excited for this new place, but I'm not 100% positive if I'm going to stay... My comp is an American now from Cali/Utah ish. Hes a cool guy.

Time really is flying. I feel like I've had no time the past few days. My mind has just been racing and adjusting to this pace. I had to spend some time on my knees praying just so I could get things focused. With which I'm still achieving. I'm loving serving with my comp right now. Reminds me a ton of Cody Granillo.. ha Remember him from elementary school? He has kinda the same personality. Its been good though. We're getting things done here and starting to have more and more success. I can feel the Spirit with more frequency in my work. It's so amazing how it works. It's works with the small and simple things after we've done all the others. Today, we've already taught 2 lessons for our investigators. We had 3 planned but one wasn't home. It feels so crazy. I'm loving working here. Not the easiest area but there's always the little tender mercies that keep your eyes off the ground. We're getting into more houses and being accepted alot easier. We just left a really sweet lesson, a single mom. Has a 2 year old son and we barely found her today; first time since Sunday. She's got a date for Sunday but a little weak on it. But today I feel like it turned completely around.
There's going to be alot more changes in my mission coming up and I'm pretty excited. But I'm a little anxious. Its so great to see constant changes being made by the Lord. It appears that once I arrive at one stage the other one is already being revealed without me seeing it coming. I love this work! I know everything's going great back home and things are going right. I hope you guys are having some fun. Has anyone sent a package lately?
I would love some snickers and choco bars and such... but no rushes...
I love you!
